Consumers are infuriated after purchasing Apple’s new smartphone that comes without a charging port or speakers.

Last Sunday the new iPhone from Apple was released worldwide. It was a surprise release, so no one knew what the phone looked like or what it did. Consumers blindly purchased this smartphone, and were upset and confused to find that some very important features were missing from the phone. The charging port, volume control buttons, and speakers were removed in the new phone.
Thousands of complaints have been placed to Apple about the new phone, but Apple will not apologize for deceiving customers. When purchasing the new phone, most consumers did not read the fine print that said the iPhone 7.1 cannot be exchanged or retuned no matter what.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, released a statement three days ago saying, “We decided that the charging port, volume controls, and speakers were unnecessary and took up too much room on the iPhone. Instead, the iPhone does not need to be charged, and will simply stop working once the battery dies. This will teach consumers to conserve their battery, and have less screen time. The speakers were quite unnecessary, as no one actually uses the iPhone to talk with people. Finally, we removed the volume controls so consumers can chose between two volume controls in the settings app; too loud or too quiet.”
Yesterday I sat down with Tarik Eltanahy, the first person to purchase the new iPhone. He said, “This phone cost way too much for it to die already. I had no idea that once it dies you can never recharge it, and I blew through my battery in three hours. I went back to the Apple store to return my phone, and they said no exchanges or returns! This was such a traumatic experience for me that i’m going to switch to Samsung.” Tarik is not the only customer switching to Samsung. I have spoken with a variety of loyal Apple customers who have all said they are going to switch to Samsung.
It is unclear at this time what Apple will do, but we are all hoping that Apple has learned their lesson and they will bring back these crucial features in the iPhone 7s, launching this fall.
