santa sightings in richmond hill |
Just two months after the clown sightings and assaults, a new attack on locals arrives. Since the beginning of December there have been several cases of people who dressing up in Santa suits and hurting the innocent citizens of Richmond Hill. Seven attacks have been reported in the last three weeks and many more have claimed to have seen one of these Santas.
The Santa impersonators are frightening everyone in Richmond Hill, which is causing major chaos throughout this usually peaceful town. They are being seen with sharpened candy canes and are throwing ornaments at people passing by. It is still not know why they are attacking this area, but it is believed that their motive is to destroy Christmas spirit.
The town of Richmond Hill is desperately trying to control the attacks. They doubled the amount of officers on patrol and have already made 8 arrests. The officers are advising everyone to stay indoors after 5pm, when it gets dark. The town has also set up safe stations in each community. These are to prevent anyone getting stranded in the streets at night. If you find yourself out after dark and need to get to safety fast, the safe stations will provide a small meal and a bed for you to stay the night.
We sat down with Beth Hart, a young woman who was attacked, to get a better understanding of the situation. We asked her to explain what happened and how she was able to get away. She said “I was walking home around 6pm after a drama rehearsal and it was getting dark. I felt like someone was watching me so I sped up a bit and then all of a sudden I saw my attacker. He was wearing a full santa costume and was holding a huge candy cane that was sharpened at both ends. He grab me by the arm and pushed me to the ground, fortunately I was able to kick him in the knee and escape. Everyone needs to stay inside and lock all there doors. It was a very traumatic experience and I have not left the house since it took place last Tuesday.” Beth is not the only one who has experienced an attack by these horrific Santas.
As the attacks progress and become increasingly violent more and more citizens refuse to leave home. People are hoping for some relief after Christmas but, it is unknown when the attacks will end. In the meantime the town of Richmond Hill will work hard to take control of the situation.
